At BOLD Architecture, everything begins with you. Our initial consultation is an open, collaborative conversation designed to explore everything you need, want and envisage. It's about listening; hearing your big picture dreams, even your most audacious concepts and talking through the possibilities. It’s an open, down-to-earth discussion that sets the foundation for a shared understanding. Some clients choose to engage us for the entire project – from concept to completion. Others may only need a well-considered preliminary design to get started. Whatever stage you’re at, we’ll tailor our involvement to suit your path, not the other way around. Quotation / proposal


Once we understand what you would like to achieve, we’ll prepare a tailored proposal that outlines a scope of services with the associated fees that we believe would be the best match to realise your vision. It’s a transparent, easy to understand document that reflects your specific project requirements — whether that’s a full design and build journey or just the initial concept stage. We’ll talk you through it, answer any questions, and make sure you feel confident before moving forward.

Establishing the Project Vision (Concept Design)


This is where we begin shaping your ideas into a clear, cohesive direction communicating our design ideas with a range of different drawing methods – hand drawn sketches, computer drafted plans or virtual 3D models. We take the time to truly understand how you live or operate, how you work, and what you want to experience in your future space – whether it’s a home, a commercial project, or something entirely unique. From functionality to flow, every detail matters. And we take you step by step through the process, tailoring the vision to reflect your needs, goals and how you want to feel in the space every day.


The final deliverables of this stage capture the overall design direction for the project. The package of drawings might be used to support and a planning application or sent to invited contractors for preliminary pricing.

detailed Design & Documentation


With your design direction established, we start developing thoughtful, functional concepts in detail, collaborating with a select group of secondary consultants to create a set of drawings that are comprehensively coordinated and meticulously detailed. The package of detailed construction drawings will be suitable to gain building approval or be distributed to selected building contractors for tendering.


We focus on how the space will work for you — from layout and light to materials and flow — ensuring every decision has purpose and meaning. Throughout the detailed design process, we collaborate closely with you and a team of consultants, presenting ideas, refining details and shaping solutions that are creative, practical and deeply personalised.
